Have you looked at the fresh snow that falls on the ground? Have you ever noticed how the dull and muddy streets and neighborhoods are transformed to a bright and clean winter wonderland?
Our lives might look like those muddy streets because of our sin. When we fall into sin or make mistakes, we might think that God wants nothing to do with us. But that’s not what the Bible says. In Isaiah 1:18 God says “Come now, let us reason together.” God doesn’t turn His back on us, but instead gently calls us to Him to help us put things right. “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” God is so compassionate and loving and understands that sometimes we make mistakes. But when we repent and confess our sins and failures to God, he washes them away and makes us clean and white just like the snow.
