OUR VISION
The aim of Next Generation Youth Church is to provide a place of worship for youth. Our goal is to be able to make youth feel comfortable and unjudged in a church setting. Society has created a negative stigma against church and religion. The negative stigma has made people who enter college or high school to “take a break from church” or move away from religion altogether. Next Generation Youth Church strives to foster an environment for youth in which they can learn about God and grow closer to Him.
WHAT WE DO
NGYC strives to do outreach work in the community as well, volunteering at Feed My Starving Children and ministering at the College of Dupage. NGYC has monthly activites for the youth such as movie night, karaoke night, and even tailgating. Since the very first service in a basement, Next Generation Youth Church has made great strides in reaching the youth of today.
OUR STORY
Next Generation Youth Church started as a vision to help the youth. After many months of planning, Pastor Mel, Blessy Jerome, Athena and Aram Appavu began to look for a place to worship. While they had many hurdles, the desire to reach youth kids did not stop. NGYC had their first service in the basement of the Appavu family’s house. Three college students joined for the very first service. Since then, Next Generation Youth Church has been worshiping in a church in Villa Park every Saturday. Now we have moved to Aurora, IL.
